Vitor Reiss sends six-word message as Man City move confirmed
Vitor Reis has spoken out with a social media message after completing his move to Man City from Palmeiras.
It has been a busy January transfer window for Pep Guardiola’s side, who have invested heavily as they look to recover from a disappointing first half of the season.
One of those brought to the Etihad Stadium is Reis, with the Premier League champions announcing on Tuesday (21 January) they have signed the 19-year-old on a four-and-a-half-year deal.
Having completed that move to Man City, the teenager has now paid one final tribute to his now former club.
Vitor Reis bids farewell to Palmeiras after Man City transfer
Having come through the academy ranks at Palmeiras to start his senior career with the club, Reis was keen to thank the Brazilian side for what they have for him.
Taking to his Instagram story after his Man City transfer was confirmed, the centre-back shared a video showing him bidding farewell to Palmeiras.
He then captioned that with a message in Portuguese that when translated into English reads: “Thank you for everything, Palmeiras family.”

It could still be a busy January at the Etihad even after the signings of Reis and fellow centre-back Abdukodir Khusanov.
Eintrach Frankfurt striker Omar Marmoush is also among those expected to complete a move to Man City before the window closes.
Football Insider Verdict
It is going to be interesting to see how Reis fares with this move to Pep Guardiola’s side going forward.
He is moving a long way away from his homeland to play for a Man City side with huge expectations at a very young age and early stage of his career.
That could come with a lot of pressure both on and off the pitch, and he may need to be given some time to adapt to his new situation in England before too much is asked of him.
