Wayne Rooney shares what Liverpool fans in his family now say about Mohamed Salah
Wayne Rooney has insisted that Liverpool fans will not be on the side of Mohamed Salah amid his latest standoff with the club.
Mohamed Salah plunged his future at Liverpool into serious doubt on Saturday (6 December) evening as he spoke candidly to the press after their draw at Leeds.
The Reds legend had been left on the bench by Arne Slot at Elland Road, and shockingly admitted following the game that he felt the club has “thrown me under the bus” and his relationship with the manager has broken down.
He has only featured in one of Liverpool’s last three games, after he was also left on the bench against West Ham and then brought on at half-time versus Sunderland.
Salah has been slammed for his comments after going public with his issues, and it remains to be seen how the situation will be resolved anytime soon.

Rooney says Liverpool fans ‘won’t accept’ Salah’s actions
He may be a club legend at Liverpool, but Salah’s latest situation has divided their fans over whether he was right to be so public with his aggrievances, or should have kept the problems in-house.
Speaking on the newest episode of The Wayne Rooney Show, the Liverpool-born former Man United star shared how his Reds-supporting family have felt amid the chaos.
Rooney said: “He’s absolutely destroying his legacy, I think. It would be sad for him to throw it all away.
“Liverpool fans, I know a lot of them, obviously my family are Liverpool fans, they won’t accept them comments, no chance.”
Salah could leave Liverpool for Saudi Arabia in January
There are currently questions over whether Salah will even travel with his teammates to Milan this week as Liverpool face Inter at the San Siro on Tuesday (9 December).
He will be jetting off to the African Cup of Nations after their next league game against Brighton, but supporters may already have seen the last of him in a red shirt due to this huge saga.
Saudi Pro League clubs have wanted Salah for a long time, but he chose to sign a new Liverpool contract towards the end of last season, rather than make the move to the Middle East.
This new bombshell means his future is up-in-the-air right now, and Football Insider have revealed that Saudi sides are set to reignite their interest in Salah with a potential January move on the cards.
