West Ham set for major reshuffle after Michail Antonio reveal – Agbonlahor

David Moyes has to find a way to play Michail Antonio and Gianluca Scamacca together at West Ham, according to Gabby Agbonlahor.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker suggested Antonio could be deployed on the wing so they can play together.

The pair have yet to be on the pitch at the same time since Scamacca’s £35million move from Sassuolo in the summer.

West Ham

As quoted by football.london earlier this month (18 September), Moyes claimed that he would have to switch to a back three if he wanted both players to feature together as it is “very hard” to play a 4-4-2.

Antonio, 32, has three goals and two assists in 10 games across all competitions this season while Scamacca has found the net three times in nine appearances.

The 23-year-old has played five times in the Premier League, including one start, and is yet to score.

Asked whether Moyes could find another way for Antonio and Scamacca to line up together, Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: “I think he should do.

“I would play Antonio on the right or the left, have Scamacca down the middle and Bowen on the other side. Paqueta can then be in behind.

“Try and mix it up, you can play both of them. Antonio will bring that pace so find a position for him on the pitch.

“Those three have to play.”

West Ham

West Ham are next in action next week (1 October) when they host Wolves.

They are currently 17th in the Premier League after winning just one of their opening seven games.

In other news, Kieran Maguire has been left “depressed” by a West Ham development as a fine is issued.
