West Ham told to seal ‘loan-to-buy’ Aaron Wan-Bissaka deal after insider’s update – pundit
Noel Whelan has backed West Ham to secure a “loan-to-buy” deal for Old Trafford outcast Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
The former Leeds striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, insisted the 25-year-old simply doesn’t fit the “style of play” at Man United.
According to Irons insider ExWHUEmployee, speaking on his The West Ham Way Podcast (12 December), David Moyes’ side have an interest in Wan-Bissaka and are eyeing a potential loan move.

The right-back, who is out of contract in June 2024, has seen just four minutes of action since Erik ten Hag was appointed at Man United.
Football Insider revealed last month (25 November) that West Ham are willing to sell Vladimir Coufal in January and will accept a bid of £6million amid interest from Bayer Leverkusen.
Wan-Bissaka left Crystal Palace for Old Trafford in 2019 for a reported fee of £50million.
Whelan suggested a return to London could pique the defender’s interest.
He told Football Insider’s Ewan Kingsbury: “There’s no doubt, he’s not in the plans of Ten Hag.
“I don’t think he fits into the style of play at Man United. He lacks that bit of a cutting edge in the final third.
“But defensively, I’ve not seen too many people beat him in a one-v-one. He’s got a lot to offer a club like West Ham.
“We know he’s a London boy, he came through at Crystal Palace – so he wouldn’t be too far from home.

“I think it’d be a great deal for all parties, and he’d be a solid buy for West Ham if they can sort out a loan-to-buy deal.
“He’s not done an awful lot wrong at Man United, he just doesn’t give you that bit of quality in the final third that Ten Hag is looking for.”
