Wilson Isidor: Sunderland star open to Leeds switch as summer exit likely
Wilson Isidor would be open to making a move to Leeds United in the summer transfer window as he eyes a move away from Sunderland.
The 25-year-old has struggled for game time in recent weeks after losing his place to Brian Brobbey and is keen to move on in search of first-team football.
He could be handed the opportunity to remain in the Premier League, despite interest from France, as he continues to weigh up his options.
Former Sunderland chief scout Mick Brown told Football Insider that Isidor is likely to leave the Stadium of Light, but Leeds are currently uncertain about the move.
Daniel Farke hopes to add a top-class striker to his squad, and while Isidor is admired by the recruitment team, he may not be at the level Leeds are targeting this summer.

Football Insider revealed on 11 May that Isidor has emerged as a target for Leeds as they aim to strengthen up front ahead of the upcoming window.
Farke is keen to add a new striker to play alongside Calvert-Lewin, and they are assessing a number of options for the role both in the Premier League and abroad.

Despite his lack of recent playing time for Sunderland, they believe Isidor is capable of performing in the top flight, and could take a gamble on bringing him in.
“Wilson Isidor could be somebody Leeds look at,” Brown told Football Insider.
“He looks like he will be allowed to leave Sunderland because he’s not a regular part of the team at the moment and he will want to play more elsewhere.
“I would say that’s the type of signing they usually make, a solid enough player in a position they need, but he’s not somebody who will necessarily improve them.
“Ideally, Leeds want a top-class striker who can help take them to another level, not just somebody who could be a good option because he’s available.
“So Isidor will be on their radar, but I don’t think he’s their first choice. If they miss out on other options, he could be somebody they go for.
“But from the player’s point of view, it’s about where he sees his future. Maybe he could go back to France, that might be a good opportunity.
“If Leeds are going to make a move for him, and they can offer him regular football in the Premier League, it’s something I definitely think he will be open to.”
How do Sunderland feel about selling Isidor?
Despite growing interest from Leeds and clubs on the continent, alongside suggestions Isidor is unhappy, he could push for a move away from Sunderland this summer.
However, Football Insider revealed on 11 May that Sunderland could deter Isidor’s suitors by placing a “silly” price tag on his head when the window opens.

The Black Cats remain keen on the striker despite his lack of playing time, and view his as a valuable part of their squad to provide strength in depth.
Isidor’s stance on a departure could prove key in that respect as he is no longer content with playing a secondary role behind Regis Le Bris’ other options.
Sunderland will need to drop their asking price if they wish to facilitate a deal, however, with Leeds among those likely to be put off as things stand.
