Wolves ace Matheus Cunha responds to Hee-chan Hwang message amid Newcastle links
Matheus Cunha has responded to a message from Wolves teammate Hee-chan Hwang on social media amid links to Premier League rivals Newcastle.
Prior to Vitor Pereira’s arrival at Molineux, things looked bleak for the Old Gold as they looked set to limp to the finish line amid relegation fears.
Instead, the Portuguese manager has inspired genuine hope around Wolves, endearing himself to the club’s fans through great performances on the pitch and post-match pints off it.
Pereira’s side have climbed to 14th in the Premier League table, and while Everton’s 2-0 win over Southampton means they can go no higher, the Midlands side will be keen to cap off their season with a win when they face Brentford on Sunday (25 May).
Hee-chan Hwang sends message to Matheus Cunha
Following Wolves’ 4-2 loss to Crystal Palace on Tuesday evening (20 May), Hwang posted a handful of images on Instagram, captioned: “happiest moment when i’m on the pitch. 1 more to go”.
The South Korean striker’s teammate, Cunha, then responded “Coreano” (Korean) with a love heart emoji, before Hwang responded with a message of his own saying “Cudinho”, which is a term of endearment in Brazilian Portuguese.

Football Insider Verdict
Chris Waddle told Football Insider exclusively that Cunha would be the perfect fit for Newcastle this summer, as the Magpies, Liverpool, Arsenal, and Man United all look to duke it out for the Brazilian.
With a £62.5million release clause in his contract, selling the former Atletico Madrid forward will be a simple process, which will likely play into Wolves’ hands.
The Old Gold can immediately start negotiating for potential recruits this summer, knowing exactly how much they will have to spend.

Jorgen Strand Larsen has found his feet in the second half of the season, easing some of the pressure on finding a goal-scorer to replace Cunha.
However, Pereira’s side will still need someone to replace his creativity, whilst also boosting their beleaguered backline that has been a problem all season long.
