‘Would be a lethal signing’ – Newcastle fans thrilled on Twitter with reported interest in PL 28-year-old

Newcastle are reportedly interested in signing Arsenal striker Lucas Perez – and the club’s supporters have backed a potential move on Twitter.
The Sun have claimed that the Magpies have turned their attention to the 28-year-old after missing out on several of their forward targets this summer.
It is understood that Arsenal are trying to find a suitor for the Spaniard after he enjoyed a frustrating debut campaign at the Emirates Stadium.
Perez only joined the Gunners from La Liga side Deportivo last summer, but found his opportunities restricted last season.
The attacker made just 21 appearances across all competitions for the north London club, but still managed seven goals and five assists in return.
Newcastle fans are thrilled on social media after being linked to Perez and agree that he would be a good fit at St James’ Park.

Newcastle manager Rafael Benitez is aiming to strengthen his forward options ahead of the new campaign and currently has Dwight Gayle, Aleksandar Mitrovic and Ayoze Perez at his disposal.
Perez could find regular game time easier to come by with the Magpies and fans feel he could make a major impact.
The striker showed his class for Deportivo during the 2015/16 campaign, where he scored 19 goals and 11 goals in just 39 games.
He had to make do with fringe roles last year under Arsene Wenger, but still managed to impress fans with his movement and composure in front of goal.
In other Newcastle transfer news, the club’s 24-year-old has been told he can leave after four years.
