Yet another bid made for £7,000-a-week Rangers player as speculation intensifies – reports

Rangers have rejected yet another offer from Chinese Super League club Beijing Renhe for striker Alfredo Morelos, according to a report.
The Scottish Sun claims that the Light Blues have booted out a fourth bid from the Far East club worth around £9million.
It is understood that two South American clubs have also joined the hunt to sign the Colombian forward and have contacted Rangers within that last 48 hours as speculation intensifies around the summer signing’s Ibrox future.
The report adds that the Gers will not consider selling Morelos until the summer at least, as selling their leading scorer now would mean that they are unable to sign up a replacement.
Morelos signed for the Scottish club in the summer for £1million from HJK Helsinki.
He has wasted no time into settling down in Glasgow, scoring 15 goals in 30 appearances across all competitions.
The Daily Mail has reported that Morelos is demanding a pay rise on his current £7,000-a-week deal at Ibrox after seeing bids rejected in the January transfer window from Beijing Rehne.
Football Insider verdict
Rangers are doing well to fend off big money offers from China but if a bid of £10million is made before the Chinese transfer window slams shut at the end of this month, then surely Dave King, Mark Allen and Graeme Murty would have to give it a lot more consideration. The Gers’ aim is no doubt to close the gap between themselves and Celtic and eventually start challenging for the Scottish Premiership title once again. But with Morelos, in the team, they are not really any better off than last season when looking at the standings. £10million would go a massive way in improving the squad for next season so if that much is offered then they should accept.
