Yoane Wissa brilliant, Kevin Schade rubbish – Brentford player ratings vs Arsenal
Brentford’s excellent away form since the turn of the year continued as they fought back to claim a 1-1 draw with Arsenal at the Emirates.
The home side thought they had made their early pressure count, when Ethan Nwaneri found Kieran Tierney in the area, with the defender heading home. However, the recent introduction of automated offsides meant the goal was quickly ruled out.
Arsenal finally broke the deadlock on the counter attack with Declan Rice leading the charge before rolling his pass into the path of Thomas Partey to thump past Mark Flekken.
However, Brentford‘s fine away form since the turn of the year continued when Nathan Collins nodded down to Yoane Wissa, with the forward making no mistake to level the scores.

Mark Flekken – 6
Reliable. Could do nothing about Arsenal‘s goal and commanded his box well to deal with the hosts dangerous corners.
Kristoffer Ajer (off for Michael Kayode 69′) – 7
Made an excellent block to deny what would have been a certain goal from Gabriel Martinelli in the first-half and was the pick of the bunch at the back for Brentford.
Nathan Collins – 7
Claimed the assist for his side’s equaliser with a brilliantly timed header and was composed in possession throughout.
Sepp van den Berg – 5
Was the poorest of the defenders with a couple of loose passes and poor positioning.
Keane Lewis-Potter – 6
The wing-back did a decent job in keeping Nwaneri quiet, however his marker did almost claim an assist for Tierney had it not been ruled out.
Christian Norgaard (off for Gustavo Nunes 91′) – 6
Screened the Brentford back line well and kept his side ticking on the ball, a standard game from Norgaard. Lucky to escape a red card for chopping down Gabriel Martinelli.
Vitaly Janelt (off for Yehor Yarmoliuk 69′) – 5
Did not impose himself into the game and was substituted early for Yarmoliuk.

Bryan Mbeumo impresses for Brentford again
Bryan Mbeumo – 7
Most positive plays in an attacking sense came through Mbuemo for the visitors, with the winger creating the best chance of the game for Ajer.
Mikkel Damsgaard (off for Mathias Jensen 80′) – 6
Some clever touches and passes throughout, but was unable to take the game by the scruff of the neck like his team needed.
Kevin Schade – 4
Very poor. The 23-year-old failed to make an impact playing up against Partey at right-back. A disappointing display for Schade.
Yoane Wissa – 8 – Man of the Match
Key impact. Scored his 15th Premier League goal of the season to get the Bee’s back into the game and earn a vital point with an excellent finish.
