Zian Flemming: Leeds United plot move to sign Burnley star after scouting mission
Zian Flemming has emerged as a transfer target for Leeds United as they aim to bolster their attacking options in the summer transfer window.
The 27-year-old has enjoyed a strong season in the top flight despite his club’s struggles and has found the net 10 times, leading to increased interest in his situation.
After Burnley were officially relegated from the Premier League, Leeds could take advantage of their situation to lure the forward away on a cut-price fee.
Former Man United chief scout Mick Brown told Football Insider that Leeds scouts have been tracking Flemming this season and have been impressed by his displays.
With Daniel Farke now keen to add quality to his squad, the Burnley forward’s goalscoring form in the Premier League could convince Leeds to accelerate their transfer plans.

Football Insider reported on 11 May that Leeds could move to sign Flemming this summer as a replacement for the potentially outgoing Joel Piroe.
Speculation about a number of Farke’s attacking options has forced the club to assess their targets ahead of the window opening, with multiple forwards on their radar.

Flemming has now proven he can perform at Premier League level, and while there are believed to be options higher on Leeds’ shortlist, he could be a target.
“Zian Flemming is a target for Leeds,” Brown told Football Insider.
“It’s not anything new, they’re not only having a look now that Burnley have gone down, they’ve had scouts keeping an eye on him throughout the season.
“They know they want to sign a new striker, they’ll have a priority option for that position, and then they’ll have options further down the list.
“That’s where I believe Flemming is, he’s on that list of targets but I would be surprised if he was the number-one option for Leeds.
“He’s had a terrific season, ten goals in the Premier League is nothing to be sniffed at, so he has impressed the clubs who have been watching him.
“But Leeds need a real top-class striker if they want to progress from where they are this season, so while Flemming is an option, I think they’ll look at others first.”
Who else is on Leeds’ shortlist of attacking targets?
Flemming is not the only striker who has emerged as an option for Leeds ahead of the summer transfer window, with a list of potential options building.
Scouts have been assessing a number of possible targets to play alongside Dominic Calvert-Lewin next season after what has been a frustrating year in front of goal.

Football Insider revealed on 11 May that Leeds are looking at Wilson Isidor and could make a move if he becomes available at Sunderland this summer.
The striker has been unable to nail down a place in the starting XI under Regis Le Bris and is therefore considering his options ahead of the end of the season.
Should Sunderland allow him to move on, he could look to remain and prove himself in the Premier League, with Leeds among his suitors.
