Liverpool now very keen to complete ‘huge’ Jamal Musiala deal – sources

Liverpool are very keen to strike a deal for Bayern Munich star Jamal Musiala this summer, sources have told Football Insider.

The 21-year-old is rated extremely highly around Europe and has attracted interest from Premier League duo Manchester City and Liverpool.

It is understood that Bayern Munich have no intentions of losing Musiala this summer and have set a huge asking price of £100million.

Musiala currently has two years remaining on his Bayern contract, but it has been reported that the youngster has rejected proposals for a new deal in Bavaria.

Liverpool set sights on £100m Musiala deal this summer

Liverpool announced on Wednesday (13 March) that ex-director Michael Edwards has completed a return to the club with the 44-year-old set to oversee all transfer activity when his role begins in June.

Edwards is expected to spearhead a summer of transition at Anfield as they prepare for a new chapter under a new manager and Musiala is expected to be one of his first priorities.

Musiala has scored 10 goals and provided six assists for Bayern this season – including three goals and three assists in his last five league appearances.

He spent nine years in the youth academy at Chelsea before making the move to Bayern in 2019 and breaking through to their senior squad a year later.
