
Alan Shearer delivers Twitter verdict to Newcastle win v Brighton

Alan Shearer expressed his delighted on Twitter after Newcastle secured a dramatic victory over Brighton on Tuesday night.
The Magpies faced a crucial away match against table toppers Brighton in the Championship and a 2-1 victory meant they leapfrogged them to reach the summit.
Rafael Benitez’s side appeared to be heading to a crushing defeat following Glenn Murray’s 14th minute penalty.
However, Mohamed Diame scored a fortunate equaliser in the 81st minute, before substitute Ayoze Perez netted the winner in the 89th minute to snatch the three points.
They are now in pole position for the Championship title, but more importantly they have an eight-point gap over third-placed Huddersfield as they try to secure automatic promotion.
Ex-Newcastle forward Shearer revealed his joy on his personal Twitter account after the victory as they climbed to the top of the league table.
Newcastle inflicted a crushing blow to their promotion rivals with the win and are now strong favourites for the title.
Benitez once again called upon his strong squad to make the difference and substitute Perez sent the away supporters berserk.
The Magpies look in a commanding position to return to the Premier League after their relegation last season.
However, they still have two more difficult matches in the next day days which could determine the future.
Newcastle travel to third-placed Huddersfield on Saturday evening, before another away trip to fifth-placed Reading on Tuesday.
