Arsenal fans destroy ‘absolute clown’ Paul Scholes after ’embarrassing’ new comments
Arsenal fans have hit back at Paul Scholes after he claimed that no team has been good enough to win the Premier League this season.
The Gunners are top of the table going into the final months and currently hold a five-point lead over Man City, who have a game in hand.
The title remains up for grabs for either team, with the two set to face off at the Etihad Stadium next month.
Both Man City and Arsenal retain a presence in all four competitions, with the two set for a meeting at Wembley in the Carabao Cup final this month.
Arsenal are favourites to win the Premier League, although they have yet to prove that they can get over the line.

Arsenal will travel to Brighton on Wednesday, while Man City host Nottingham Forest at the Etihad Stadium.
For the Gunners, the trip represents one of just four away games remaining in the Premier League this season as they hope to finally end the wait for the title.
The league trophy has not been lifted in North London since the invincibles did at Highbury in 2004, but Mikel Arteta’s side have gone extremely close over the last few years.
| Arsenal fixtures – Premier League | Date |
| Brighton (A) | 4 Mar |
| Everton (H) | 14 Mar |
| Bournemouth (H) | 11 Apr |
| Man City (A) | 18 Apr |
| Newcastle United (H) | 25 Apr |
With Man City not looking quite as strong as they have in previous years, this season would appear the best chance that they have had under Arteta.
But the Citizens have won six consecutive games across all competitions, and are ready to put the pressure on.
Former Everton chief executive Keith Wyness exclusively told Football Insider that he thinks Arsenal will win the Premier League, but the coming weeks will be telling.
There is not much excitement about the race from some viewers, however. “Whoever wins the league, you say at the end of it, they deserved it,” Scholes told The Good, The Bad and The Football podcast on Tuesday.
“None of them have convinced me that they should be Premier League champions. I don’t think they should give the trophy out this year. No one deserves it!”
Arsenal fans slam ‘bitter’ Scholes
Arsenal fans bit back at Scholes’ comments instantly on social media. One wrote: “Do you realise how bitter of a human you have to be to say something like this?”
Many shared a similar sentiment, with a feeling that the former Man United midfielder was letting his bias show.
“Cant believe one of the most elite players to play in the league is now saying ridiculous statements to get views on his podcast,” wrote another fan. “Embarrassing”.
One Arsenal fan wrote: “You won a league title with 75 points but proudly claim it still you absolute clown”.
