Aston Villa chairman sends strong Twitter message to controversial star
By Will Butcher
Aston Villa owner Tony Xia has given Jack Grealish his advice on Twitter after the youngster was caught up in more controversy.
According to the Daily Mail, Grealish, 21, infuriated guests at a Birmingham hotel in the early hours of Sunday morning after throwing a loud party, in which nitrous oxide balloons were used.
However, Xia has leaped to the defence of the England under-21 international, posting on his personal Twitter account that he should “focus on and off the pitch” and “choose the right type of people to be with”.
Sunday’s incident is just one of a long line of misdemeanours the technically gifted winger has been involved with in his short Aston Villa career, which has included altercations with nitrous oxide as well as a picture of Grealish sprawled on the ground in Tenerife.
