Everton’s chances of signing Ben White revealed after Arsenal latest Arsenal
Everton are one of the bookmakers’ frontrunners in the race to sign Arsenal defender Ben White this summer following previous links with his services.
Everton were heavily linked with a move for White in the January transfer window after he struggled for game time at Arsenal in the first half of the campaign.
White joined the Gunners from Brighton in 2021 and was a regular starter in his first three seasons at the club, but has slipped down the pecking order since the start of last term.
The 28-year-old has made just 19 appearances so far this season, despite remaining fit to play, with Mikel Arteta handing him just five starts in the Premier League so far.
Arsenal will be busy in the transfer market this summer no matter how the campaign ends, and White could well make an exit, with the Toffees a potential suitor.

VISIT THE ARSENAL TRANSFER HUBEverton are the bookies’ third-favourites to be Ben White’s club next season
Football Insider first revealed in January that Everton were tracking White ahead of a potential move to bolster David Moyes’ right-back and centre-back options.
Moyes has been forced to play Jake O’Brien on the right side of defence for the majority of this season so far, with Seamus Coleman mostly out injured and Nathan Patterson out of favour.
Arteta was not prepared to let White depart the Emirates midway through the campaign, however, but he has still failed to appear in six of their seven games since the close of the window.
It certainly seems likely that he is allowed to explore a move away in the summer, and some of the UK’s leading bookmakers are now fielding bets for the club that he will be contracted to at the end of the next window.
Arsenal are clear favourites at 1/4, but Everton are also one of the frontrunners, and the shortest-priced Premier League side, at odds of 4/1.
Who else is in contention to sign White this summer?
White has been ruled out of both of Arsenal’s last two games against Tottenham and Chelsea, and their victories in both games prove that he is simply not an integral part of Arteta’s squad anymore.
Reports in Spain have claimed that the Gunners boss has offered White to Barcelona ahead of the summer, and so the Catalan giants come in as second-favourites to be his club in September, at odds of 5/2.
After Everton, the likes of Man City (13/2), Newcastle (9/1), Liverpool (11/1) and Bayern Munich (14/1) are all also believed to be contenders to sign White.
