Expert: Joe Rodon has Tottenham future after ‘telling’ new development
Joe Rodon has a future at Tottenham after a “telling” development.
That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
Rodon, 24, has been brought off the bench in Spurs’ last two games after previously failing to feature in the Premier League under Antonio Conte.
These outings have only amounted to nine minutes of action but Wenham claims Conte is sending Rodon a message.
“I think it is really telling that Conte has brought Rodon on in his last two games,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“He did not have to do that, make no mistake about it. I said a few weeks ago that maybe there was a way back for him.
“Obviously he hadn’t played at all under Conte so it was clear to see where he is in the pecking order.
“I think him coming on in these games has been Conte telling him that he might have future here.
“He definitely wants Rodon to feel a part of this squad because, as I day, he did not need to bring him on in either of those games.”
A Tottenham source told Football Insider on 22 April that Spurs have told Rodon he is free to find a new club this summer.
