Liverpool forward Dominic Solanke could be the signing of the summer though if Gerrard convinces him to leave Anfield – permanently or temporarily – to revive what has been a stuttering career.
He struggled for game time at Chelsea and Jurgen Klopp has not used him as much as he would have hoped on Merseyside.
Rangers would surely be able to offer Solanke – a future England international – a starting role for much of the campaign if he was signed.
