Graham Roberts takes dig at Arsenal fans after stoking rivalry, Tottenham fans will love this

By Danny Wright

Tottenham legend Graham Roberts has trolled Arsenal supporters after triggering a mass response from his latest comments that have stoked the rivalry between the two clubs.

He was quoted in the Mirror as saying that the tide has turned in North London and that the Gunners will spend years in the shadow of Spurs.

Roberts also added that he hopes Arsene Wenger stays as manager at the Emirates following his recent disastrous run of results in charge.

The 57-year-old, who spent six years as a Tottenham player in the 1980s, took to his personal Twitter account to troll Arsenal supporters yet again by claiming that it’s nice to know some of their fans have still got some fight left in them after a horrific run of results in 2017.

Spurs are second in the Premier League table at the moment, 14 points clear of the Gunners who look as though they could finish outside of the Champions League qualification spots for the first time in Wenger’s reign.

The two rivals come to blows on April 30 in what will be the final North London clash at White Hart Lane as Tottenham’s work on a new stadium will see their historic home demolished next season.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side will relocate to Wembley for the 2017/18 campaign.

Tottenham face a home fixture against Bournemouth on Saturday and could close the gap to league leaders Chelsea before their testing trip to Manchester United the day after.

In other Tottenham news, Ryan Giggs has said that this 29-year-old has taken him game to another level.
