Hutchison raves about Everton transfers, urges Koeman to bring this attacker to Everton
By Harry Sykes
Former Everton midfielder Don Hutchison has taken to Twitter to praise Ronald Koeman’s summer transfer business to date, and urged him to bring Swansea’s Gylfi Sigurdsson to Goodison next.
So far this summer, Everton have been one of the most active clubs in the Premier League, with Koeman splashing the cash on Michael Keane (£24m), Jordan Pickford (£24m), Davy Klaassen (£23m), Henry Onyekuru (£7m), Sandro Ramirez (£5m) and, most recently, Wayne Rooney on a reported free.
Now, the Daily Star is reporting that Everton are going to make a £32m bid for Iceland star Gylfi Sigurdsson, an offer that Swansea would find hard to turn down.
Hutchison thinks that Sigurdsson would be the icing on the cake for Everton supporters, and that their new players will give them a real shot at breaking into the Champions League places next season.
If Koeman does manage to pull off a deal for Sigurdsson, Hutchisomn believes that Everton will be targetting a top four or six place finish in the Premier League and a trophy.
Everton play Stoke at home in the first match of the news season, on August 12.
In other Everton news, Richard Keys has claimed that Everton will finish above Liverpool next season – a prediction that will delight Toffees fans.
