Jack Grealish reacts to Kyle Walker’s message amid Man City exit news

Kyle Walker caught the attention of Jack Grealish on social media as speculation grows over the pair’s futures at Man City.

Football Insider understands that Grealish is set for showdown talks with Pep Guardiola, wanting to seek assurances from the manager ahead of the summer transfer window at the Etihad Stadium.

The winger’s minutes on the pitch have been limited this season, starting just seven Premier League matches and appearing as a substitute in another 12, with Jeremy Doku and Savinho preferred.

On the other hand, Walker chose to be loaned out after falling down the pecking order, and now could remain at AC Milan beyond the end of the season despite recovering from a broken arm.

Keith Wyness revealed to Football Insider that Walker will agree a deal to remain away from Man City despite rumours coming out of Italy that the 34-year-old is likely to return this summer.

Taking to Instagram (13 May), Walker wrote: “Cup final eve ForzaMilan,” with AC Milan set to face Bologna in the Coppa Italia final on Wednesday, 14 May.

The post gained attention from Serie A stars Tammy Abraham and Marcus Thuram, as well as Tottenham’s Dominic Solanke and Man City’s Grealish.

Man City duo to begin mass exodus this summer

Football Insider verdict

Grealish and Walker are unlikely to be the only two long-time servants set to leave the Etihad Stadium this summer, with fans expecting a total squad overhaul ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.

Despite a chance of finishing second in the Premier League table and lifting the FA Cup against Crystal Palace, Guardiola has come under immense pressure from Man City fans due to a lot of the team’s displays.

City were knocked out of the Champions League and EFL Cup at early stages, and qualifying for the European competition again was uncertain for a number of weeks.

While the additions of Omar Marmoush and Nico Gonzalez were exciting during the winter transfer window, they were not enough to change the team’s fortunes before the end of the season.

Ederson, John Stones, Bernardo Silva, and Mateo Kovacic have all been linked with Man City exits, following Kevin De Bruyne out of the exit doors once the current season ends.
