‘Absolute class’, ‘Unbelievable’ – Leeds fans in awe of one player despite 1-0 loss v Villa
One player was head and shoulders above the pack for Leeds last night and fans took to Twitter to salute their young hero.
Bailey Peacock-Farrell was the shining light for a Leeds side in disarray and although he couldn’t prevent yet another defeat for Paul Heckingbottom’s side, he did ensure the score was respectable.
In the end, Aston Villa ran out 1-0 winners but it could have been a lot worse if it wasn’t for the 21-year-old keeper.
He made a string of fine saves and looked commanding in his box and was given the man-of-the-match award after the game.
Introduced for the Wolves game back in March, Peacock-Farrell has kept his place in the first team ever since and must be in with a shot at the number one spot next season.
One fan said that he was a huge talent while another said he was good but had a shocking team in front of him.
Another urged him to stay and apologised for the owners and management of the team.
Here are the best reactions to his man-of-the-match performance at Villa Park last night:
