
‘Liverpool will sign Alexander Isak’ after Carragher and Scholes agreement
Liverpool supporters believe they will sign Alexander Isak from underneath Arsenal during the summer transfer window.
Isak is one of the most in-demand strikers in the Premier League due to his consistent performances for Newcastle.
The Sweden international has scored 19 goals and provided five assists this season in 28 games across all competitions for the Magpies which has seen outside interest in him grow.
The Gunners want a traditional centre forward to try and take provide something different for the team which Arteta currently doesn’t have.
Paul Scholes and Jamie Carragher question where Alexander Isak will go
The future of Isak was discussed on the latest episode of the Fan Debate on The Overlap, where Jamie Carragher questioned if Arsenal will actually sign the Sweden international.
Carragher said, “There’s no talk about Liverpool getting him, I don’t understand where all this Arsenal talk [has come from]. If Liverpool win the league, if he was to go surely he’d pick the team who won the league.”
Former Man United midfielder Paul Scholes was in agreement with Carragher as he said, “Everyone loves him, I don’t see a possibility of him going to Arsenal. I think you’re talking Real Madrids here, Liverpool need a centre-forward.”
