Man City’s chances of signing Elliot Anderson revealed after Nottingham Forest heroics
Manchester City’s Premier League title chances were harmed by Elliot Anderson on Wednesday night after his late equaliser for Nottingham Forest at the Etihad Stadium.
The Forest midfielder’s sumptuous 76th-minute strike earned Forest a 2-2 draw and an unlikely point in their battle to stay in the top flight this season.
Antoine Semenyo had opened the scoring before Morgan Gibbs-White hit back, with Rodri’s header then being cancelled out by Anderson’s late goal.
Anderson has been heavily linked with a move away from the City Ground ahead of the summer window, with Pep Guardiola’s side known to be interested in his services.
Man City will be busy on the transfer front this summer, no matter what happens before the end of this campaign, and the latest odds of them signing the England midfielder have now been revealed.

VISIT THE TRANSFER HUBMan City are 7/1 to be Elliot Anderson’s club at the end of the summer window
Anderson has been a real standout for both Forest and England this season, with 37 club appearances and starts in five of his first six games for his country since his international debut in September.
One of the UK’s leading bookmakers has now released odds for the club he will be contracted to after the end of the summer transfer window, with the Reds the clear favourites, at 1/10.
Man United and Chelsea are each priced as the likeliest contenders to prise him from the City Ground, at odds of 5/1 and 6/1 respectively.
City are the next side in the running at odds of 7/1, which may surprise a few, given the constant links between the two parties over the last few months.
Liverpool also come in as 7/1 contenders, while Arsenal (8/1), Real Madrid (8/1), Newcastle (10/1) and Tottenham (11/1) are each also available on the current market.
Anderson is a top target for Man United this summer
The race to sign Anderson is set to heat up after the World Cup, where he will hope to be a key part of Thomas Tuchel’s squad and start most games in the middle of the park.
City are clearly set to face competition for his services from several other top sides, not least arch-rivals United, who are planning a midfield overhaul with Casemiro set to leave the club.
Sources have told Football Insider that United have made Anderson a priority signing ahead of the summer window, with Forest set to demand around £100million for his signature.
