Despite Nottingham Forest’s form this season, Anderson has been one of the few players who have played consistently well.
Last week, the midfielder scored a vital equaliser away to Man City in what proved to be a shock result at the Etihad.
As a result, even if Forest do manage to stay in the Premier League, they could face a massive battle to keep their star man in the summer.

On top of Man City, Chelsea and Manchester United are also in the race as they look to strengthen their own midfields.

Who else is linked with Anderson?
Football Insider revealed last month that Man City are the frontrunners for Anderson, and this has been reflected in markets.
However, alongside Pep Guardiola’s side, Man United are also considered the favourites to sign him at 4/1.
While the Red Devils are yet to decide on their manager for the upcoming campaign, they have identified the midfielder as a potential target.

Following this is Chelsea, who are 13/2. However, if remains to be seen if Champions League qualification will affect their pursuit, with the club battling several sides for a top five place.
Potential outsiders are Liverpool at 15/2. The Reds have made it clear in recent years that they are willing to splash the cash on Premier League stars, and Anderson could be their next investment.
Nevertheless, a stay at the City Ground is seen as the most likely outcome as it stands, at 1/10.
