Verdict: It would be catastrophic for Tottenham if Alli linked up with Raiola
Super agent Mino Raiola is confident of securing a deal to represent Tottenham attacker Dele Alli, according to a report.
The Independent claim that Alli is soon to be without representation with his deal with UK agent Rob Segal coming to an end.
The Independent reports that Alli is unlikely to renew this deal and Raiola has thrown his hat in the ring after “a flurry of interest” from agencies across Europe.
They go on to say that “sources close to the Dutchman” say that there is growing confidence that he will become Alli’s new agent.
Football Insider verdict:
This deal might make Dele Alli rich but at what cost for Tottenham fans? Raiola has a track record of sealing high-profile transfers for his clients – like Paul Pogba’s move from Juventus to Man United and Romelu Lukaku’s move from Everton to the same club. It would seem that Alli could be angling for a big move of his own, maybe as soon as the summer, if he does sign. It’s not a deal that Tottenham fans will be too enthusiastic about – and with good reason. Raiola is unlikely to accept Alli’s pay at Tottenham and that could prove catastrophic for Levy.
