‘Not starting’, ‘You’re on the bench’ – Tottenham fans react to Poch training ground incident
Tottenham took to the training pitch in front of the world’s media today and one journalist noticed something rather odd.
Mauricio Pochettino took left-back Danny Rose away from the main group – in front of the media – and had a long chat with him on his own.
Rose, the number one left-back last season – was recovering from injury at the start of this campaign, and gave an ill-advised interview in the Sun that hinted he wanted a move away.
Since then he’s come back into the first-team fold but sits behind Ben Davies in the pecking order.
Alasdair Gold from Football.London posted the video and the solo meeting with Poch and Rose on his Twitter account on Tuesday lunchtime.
It led to a lot of fans speculating about what they could have been talking about, with several fans saying it was clear evidence that he was not going to start against Juventus at Wembley on Wednesday.
