
Sources: Tottenham make contact with Julian Nagelsmann’s camp
Tottenham have made contact with Julien Nagelsmann’s representatives, sources have told Football Insider.
Spurs have not made contact with Nageslmann directly yet but have been in touch with his camp.
Daniel Levy is said to be a “huge fan” of the former Bayern Munich boss as they search for Antonio Conte’s replacement.
On Sunday (26 March), the Lilywhites confirmed that Conte left the club by mutual agreement with Cristian Stellini and Ryan Mason taking charge until the end of the season.
There had been problems brewing between the club and the Italian which culminated in a fiery post-match press conference where he took aim at the club, staff and players.
Tottenham are currently fourth in the Premier League, one point behind Man United but 20 points behind leaders Arsenal.
But, Spurs have crashed out of every major competition this season that includes their shock FA Cup exit to Championship side Sheffield United.
On Friday (24 March), Nagelsmann was sacked by Bayern Munich amid concerns from the club hierarchy about league position and player development.
The 35-year-old had lost just ten of his 84 games in charge and guided his side to the Champions League quarter-final where they face Man City.
He was immediately replaced by former Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel.
