Stefan Borson: This is Richarlison’s ‘most likely’ destination after Tottenham latest
Richarlison has continuously been linked with a move away from Tottenham over the past couple of seasons.
Richarlison has registered three goals and one assist in seven Premier League appearances for Thomas Frank’s side this season in the absence of Dominic Solanke.
Richarlison was linked with a Tottenham exit again in the summer transfer window, but he remained in north London.
However, Fabrizio Romano reported on 8 October Orlando City want to sign Richarlison in the summer of 2026 in a deal worth around £30million.
The Italian journalist said the MLS side have presented their project to the Brazil international’s camp as they look to persuade him to make the move to the US.
Richarlison could agree Saudi deal
Former Man City financial adviser Stefan Borson exclusively told Football Insider Richarlison’s “most likely” destination is Saudi Arabia.
Football Insider revealed in July Richarlison had received interest from Saudi clubs as speculation continues around his Tottenham future.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, Borson said: “I don’t know what his contractual situation is actually, but he seems to be playing.
“There have always been stories about Richarlison.
“I still think he’s most likely to go to Saudi Arabia at some point.”

Richarlison, who joined Tottenham in a £60m deal from Everton in the summer of 2022, is under contract until June 2027.
Richarlison unlikely to agree record-breaking move
While Richarlison has enjoyed an extended run in Frank’s side lately, Solanke is still regarded as the first-choice striker when fully fit despite the Tottenham striker undergoing ankle surgery, with a November return date mooted.
In terms of Richarlison heading to the US, Borson doesn’t believe a move to Orlando City is on the cards for the 28-year-old due to the finances involved in any potential deal.
“I think at £30m it would be the record signing for the MLS, so I think that must be unlikely,” said Borson.
“I’d take it with a pinch of salt, to be honest. It’s hard to see why Orlando would have £30m, but maybe I’ve missed something. As I say, I think it’s unlikely.”
Tottenham sold Son Heung-min to Los Angeles FC for around £20m in the summer transfer window, surpassing the record-breaking £17m fee fellow MLS side Atlanta United paid to sign Emmanuel Latte Lath from Middlesbrough in February.
