Supercomputer predicts Arsenal to continue 29-year trend vs Everton

Arsenal are set to take on Everton on Saturday as they look to take one step closer to lifting the Premier League title.

The Gunners come into the game on the back of a 1-1 draw against Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League round of 16 first leg.

Mikel Arteta’s side currently sit seven points clear of Manchester City, albeit Pep Guardiola’s side have a game in hand.

However, Everton will be no pushovers at the Emirates, having won their past two matches.

Below, Football Insider has explored who Opta believes will come out victorious in the highly anticipated Arsenal clash.

Arsenal overwhelming favourites against Everton

According to Opta on 12 March, Arsenal are heavy favourites to secure three points on Saturday.

The supercomputer believes that they have a 74.8 per cent chance of coming out victorious.

In comparison, Everton have just a 10.4 per cent chance of seeing out an unlikely victory. Whereas the odds of a draw are set at 14.8 per cent.

If Arsenal were to see out a win, their dominant trend against the Toffees at home would continue.

The Gunners are unbeaten in 28 of their last 29 league home clashes against Everton, winning 23, in a run that started back in 1997.

Their last defeat came in April 2021 when the Toffees came away with a surprise 1-0 victory.
