Tanguy Ndombele will cause ‘huge problem’ for Tottenham this summer after source’s reveal – expert

Tanguy Ndombele will prove to be a “huge problem” for Tottenham in the summer.

That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.

On 9 April a Spurs source told Football Insider that there is no future for Ndombele, 25, at the club even if, as expected, Lyon do not trigger the £50million-plus option in his deal.

The midfielder joined Lyon in the January window after failing to impress Antonio Conte.

Wenham expects Ndombele to return to N17 in the summer and claims Spurs will struggle to offload him.

“I think Ndombele will be a huge problem again in the summer,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“Hopefully as a Champions League club with Champions League money we can deal with that problem for a few weeks.

“If Lyon pay the clause inserted into that loan deal I will change Lilywhite Rose to the Daily Canon Arsenal update page.

“I’m certain there is absolutely zero chance of that happening. It was a waste of time even putting the clause in there.

“They haven’t got that sort of money.”

Ndombele made nine Premier League appearances and four in the domestic cups before his loan move.

He scored and assisted once but has proved to be a key player for Lyon, making ten appearances so far.
