Newcastle must allow winger Rolando Aarons to leave the club this summer on loan in order to recover from his long-term knee injury, and Leeds must snap him up quickly.
Aarons, 21, has failed to feature in first-team football since August 2016 after suffering the devastating injury that saw him leave the field of play in an EFL Cup win against Cheltenham.
Manager Rafa Benitez has since gone on to sign Christian Atsu on a permanent deal from Premier League champions Chelsea, while Jacob Murphy has joined from Norwich.
That pushes Aarons way down the pecking order on Tyneside, but he is in need of regular first-team football in order to full recover from the injury.
Football Insider believes Aarons needs to leave the club on loan and signing for Leeds would give Aarons both first-team football and at a quality that is considered high enough.
