Tottenham expert issues Harry Winks transfer verdict after ‘reading between the lines’
Tottenham “cannot begrudge” Harry Winks if leaves the club to join Everton this summer, according to Paul Robinson.
The former White Hart Lane number one, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, claimed the 26-year-old is “more than capable” of playing regular first-team football at a Premier League club.
Winks has struggled for regular game time at Spurs over the past couple of seasons.

The arrival of Yves Bissouma from Brighton has likely sent the centre-midfielder further down the pecking order at Spurs.
An Everton source told Football Insider (19 June) that the club hope to sign Winks this summer and have made contact over a potential deal.
Spurs value the 10-times England international in the region of £20million.
Toffees manager Frank Lampard is keen to add at least one midfielder to his ranks following the departures of Fabian Delph and Donny van de Beek.
Winks has two years remaining on his contract in north London.
When asked by Football Insider if the time had finally come for the centre-midfielder to leave Tottenham, Robinson said: “Reading between the lines, the signing of Bissouma would suggest that Winks will be leaving.
“You cannot begrudge him because he is at an age now where he wants to play regular first team football in the Premier League. He is more than capable of performing every week at the top level.”

Winks made 30 appearances in the 2021-22 campaign.
Of those games, 19 came in the Premier League.
