Sources: Sarr agrees Tottenham personal terms after medical completed
Pape Matar Sarr has agreed personal terms with Tottenham medical as he finalises a buy-to-loan transfer from Metz, Football Insider can exclusively reveal.
The Londoners put the finishing touches to the capture of the Metz midfield sensation, 18, over the weekend.
A Spurs source has told Football Insider that Sarr completed a medical in France over the weekend and has agreed the terms of a six-year contract.
Tottenham have had a bid worth more than £10million including add-ons accepted by Metz for the teenager.
He will sign for the Premier League club and be loaned straight back to Ligue 1 outfit Metz for this season.
Tottenham have fended off competition from multiple elite clubs clubs to reach an agreement for Sarr.
As revealed by Football Insider last Saturday (21st August), the midfielder was undergoing a medical in his homeland that day.
This site reported the Premier League interest in Sarr on 15th August, with Manchester United, Manchester and Chelsea all interested in the French sensation.
He is regarded as one of the top talents in his age group in France after establishing himself in the Metz team last season.
He started 18 times in 22 Ligue 1 appearances last term, and played 25 matches in all competitions.
A versatile midfielder who can operate in defensive and attacking positions, Sarr has remained a key player in the new campaign.
He has started all three of Metz’s league matches to date, against Lille, Nantes and Reims.
