Amad Diallo’s updated stance on Man United exit after social media hint

Amad Diallo has no intentions to leave Manchester United in the near future despite appearing to hint at a move away in a recent social media post.

The 23-year-old dropped out of Michael Carrick’s starting XI for the Premier League games against Crystal Palace and Newcastle United in the last week.

Taking to his social media pages, the Ivory Coast international shared a cryptic message: “What is meant to grow does not stay in the same place forever.”

However, as I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Transfer Insider podcast, Amad is not considering his future at Old Trafford as things stand.

The decisions were purely tactical with Benjamin Sesko called upon, and he remains a very important part of the manager’s squad despite Man United planning to strengthen their forward line this summer.

Amad Diallo unlikely to leave Man United

Football Insider exclusively revealed on 15 January that Carrick wants to sign a new winger amid concerns about a lack of depth on the left-hand side.

Amad is one of a few players who can fill in there despite being more natural on the right wing, and could find his place at risk if a new signing arrives.

However, he is keen to stay and fight for his place at Old Trafford and is not considering his future at the club despite initial concerns caused by his social media post.

Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, I explained: “No, I don’t think there’s any need to read too much into that that social media post he put out.

“Amad is still highly regarded, he’s been a regular in the side since Carrick took charge, he’s just been left out of the last couple of games due to the form of Benjamin Sesko.

“He’s come off the bench in both games as well, so I don’t think there’s any concern about his future.

“He’s had a decent season so far, with two goals and three assists in all competitions, and he’s under a long-term contract until 2030.

“Amad is still happy at Old Trafford even though he’s maybe lost his place in the starting lineup but he’s such a versatile player that he’s got a key role to play for United going forward.”

Mason Mount’s stance on Man United exit revealed

Amad is not the only player being linked with a move away from Old Trafford this summer, with speculation surrounding a number of fringe players.

Mason Mount has also been subject to rumours about his future given his lack of playing time under Carrick and ongoing fitness issues since his arrival at Old Trafford.

However, Football Insider exclusively revealed on 6 March that Mount has no plans to leave Man United and feels he has plenty to prove there.

The midfielder is currently focusing on trying to ensure that he can remain fit and get into the matchday squad until the remainder of the season.

Under the guidance of Carrick or potentially a new permanent manager, he is keen to fight for his future and prove his worth if he can pick up regular minutes.
