‘Amazing’: Benjamin Sesko among Man United stars pushing for Michael Carrick appointment
Benjamin Sesko is among a number of star players at Man United who are hoping Michael Carrick will be named as their next permanent manager.
Man United‘s 2-1 win against Crystal Palace last time out meant the interim boss has won five of his six games in charge and is receiving high praise for his work.
Sesko scored in that win at Old Trafford and has now found the net in four of his last five Premier League games as he continues to thrive under Carrick.
Former Man United chief scout Mick Brown told Football Insider that the 22-year-old is loving life at the moment and is improving every week.
A major part of that improvement has come after the change in system Carrick has implemented, meaning Sesko is receiving more direct service in the box.

Football Insider revealed on 28 February that Carrick is in a strong position at Man United and their recent success under him has strengthened his bid for the role.
With a number of star players now believed to be keen to continue working with the boss, he is growing increasingly likely to land the permanent position.
“Sesko’s improvement recently has been amazing,” Brown told Football Insider.
“At the start of the season he looked a little bit shy and not as combative as you want your striker to be, but he’s really grown and adapted to the league.
“A large part of it is because of the changes Carrick has made since taking over from Amorim, they’re not afraid to get the ball forward and into the box quicker.
“It’s been a long time since Man United have had a striker who can dominate in the air and head the ball, and it’s such a valuable asset to have.
“You can see the players are now much more willing to deliver crosses into the area.

“From everything I hear around the club and see on the pitch, it looks like the players including Sesko are happy playing under Carrick and that shows in the results.
“The players are happy under him, I’m sure they want him to stay so they can keep this up, so again that’s another reason he could get the job permanently.”
Who is leading the race for the Man United job?
Carrick remains in a strong position to become the next Man United boss, but they are set to assess all of their options before making a decision at the end of the season.
A number of big-name managers are also being tracked, with the likes of Julian Nagelsmann and Oliver Glasner also on their list of targets.
However, Football Insider revealed on 27 February that Glasner is not high on Man United’s list and is currently unlikely to beat rivals to the job.

The Austrian announced in January that he would walk away from Selhurst Park in the summer, but he may not be given the opportunity to step in at Old Trafford.
Despite his success in English football with Crystal Palace, there are concerns about his actions, with Glasner having heavily criticised the Palace fans and ownership.
