Exclusive: Everton plan to agree £15m sponsor deal after advanced talks

Everton are looking to agree a deal worth up to £15million a year for their front-of-shirt sponsorship, sources have told Football Insider.

The Premier League club are currently sponsored by Stake, but the gambling firm’s £10m-a-year deal is set to expire at the end of this season.

The i Paper reported on 27 February Everton are in advanced talks with major brands willing to pay a record fee, with a deal believed to be close.

Sources have told Football Insider David Moyes’s side are hoping to strike a multi-year agreement worth around £15m a season.

That would provide Everton’s financial situation with a welcome boost as they look to improve their revenues at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Why Everton must agree new shirt sponsor deal immediately

Everton are one of 11 Premier League clubs who are currently sponsored by betting companies.

However, top-flight sides have agreed a ban on front-of-shirt gambling sponsors from the start of next season.

While the Toffees are competing with more than half of the Premier League for a new sponsor deal, they have stolen a march on their rivals after holding advanced talks with interested parties.

Ex-Everton chief Keith Wyness revealed to Football Insider the club are able to call upon The Friedkin Group’s (TFG) commercial expertise to get a deal over the line, with their owners well placed within the business world.

Alongside the Merseyside giants, TFG’s investments include Gulf States Toyota, Serie A giants Roma and other entertainment and hospitality businesses.

How much revenue did Everton generate last season?

TFG is making efforts to improve Everton’s financial situation following their previous issues under former owner Farhad Moshiri.

The Toffees were deducted a total of eight points in the 2023-24 campaign after being charged with two separate profit and sustainability (PSR) breaches, with top-flight clubs permitted to lose £105m over a rolling three-year period.

TFG is aiming to ensure those issues are a thing of the past as the Texas-based group looks to cash in on opportunities at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Everton’s latest published accounts for 2023-24 revealed their revenue stood at £187m, but Deloitte’s 2026 Money League showed that figure improved to £197m last season – the final campaign at Goodison Park.

Although it is yet to be confirmed precisely how much commercial income the club generated in 2024-25, the figure stood at £39m in the previous year.
