Next Man United manager: Diego Simeone odds slashed in new development
Diego Simeone has seen his odds slashed to become the Manchester United manager ready for the start of the 2026-27 campaign.
The Red Devils are yet to confirm who will be in the dugout for the upcoming campaign after Michael Carrick was given an interim role in January.
However, Simeone has now emerged as a surprise outsider 15 years into his reign at Atletico Madrid.
One UK bookmaker has now placed the odds on an incredible Man United appointment at 20/1, with Oddchecker on 11 March confirming that these odds have been slashed in a new development.

VISIT THE MANAGER HUBDiego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid future remains uncertain
Despite the excellent work he has done at Atletico in recent years, speculation has arisen on the manager’s future.
The capital club have once again fallen out of the La Liga title race, being 13 points behind Barcelona, and have not won a trophy in nearly five years.
While this could change in the coming months with the club set to face Real Sociedad in the Copa del Rey final, it is not a good look.

On top of this, Simeone’s contract is also set to expire in 2027, meaning a parting of ways could be imminent.
However, the 55-year-old is no doubt still an elite manager, seen in Atletico’s 5-2 dismantling of Tottenham in the Champions League round of 16 first leg on Tuesday.
Who else is linked with the Man United job?
Football Insider recently revealed that Carrick is the overwhelming favourite to secure the Man United job on a permanent basis at the end of the season, and this is evident in the markets.
As it stands, the former Middlesbrough boss is the odds-on favourite for the role at 10/11 after impressing early into his interim spell.
Following this, Julian Nagelsmann and Roberto De Zerbi are both considered contenders at 7/1.

Oliver Glasner has also not been ruled out at 8/1, with the current Crystal Palace manager set to depart at the end of the season when his contract expires.
Gareth Southgate is still considered an outsider at 12/1, with the former England National Team manager yet to find a way back into the dugout since becoming a free agent in 2024.
