Odds slashed: Marco Silva to Tottenham takes new twist, Mauricio Pochettino updated status
Marco Silva is continuing to be tipped to take over at Tottenham as his odds were slashed once again.
The Fulham manager has been linked away from Craven Cottage for some time, with his contract set to expire in the summer.
With Tottenham yet to decide who will be in the dugout next season, the possibility of Silva making the switch to the club is deemed increasingly likely.
One UK bookmaker has now slashed the odds of Silva moving to Spurs, with Oddschecker on 2 March now confirming that they are down to 20/1.
“Spurs are feeling sorry for themselves, it certainly won’t be the captain as he’s thrown them straight into it…”

VISIT THE MANAGER HUBMarco Silva’s Fulham career explained
Silva’s run at Fulham has become increasingly underrated in recent years.
Taking over at the Cottagers in 2021, he joined a club that had just been relegated from the Premier League without a real fight.
Yet, in his first campaign, he dominated the Championship, winning the title with 90 points, with Fulham scoring 106 goals.
Since their promotion, he has ensured the club are never in any relegation trouble, with the Cottagers being a comfortable mid-table side.

Last season, he broke Fulham’s record points tally in the Premier League as they picked up 54 points on their way to finishing 11th.
The Cottagers have also been regulars in the latter half of the domestic cups, reaching the FA Cup quarter-finals multiple times, on top of reaching the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup in 2024.
Who else is linked with the Tottenham job?
As it stands, Mauricio Pochettino is the favourite to take the Tottenham job at 5/4.
The current US National manager has been heavily linked to the role for some time after previously overseeing a highly successful spell at the North London club.
Robert De Zerbi also remains heavily linked at 5/2. The former Brighton manager is now out of work after leaving Marseille earlier this year.
Igor Tudor remaining in the role is priced at 6/1. However, given how his first two games went, this seems unlikely.
Robbie Keane is currently at 12/1, while a potential outsider is Michael Carrick at 16/1.

The current Man United interim manager has done an excellent job at Old Trafford to date, winning all but one of his matches.
However, the former Middlesbrough boss is yet to be offered the job permanently, which could result in a switch to Spurs in the summer.
