Sources: Brentford ready to accept Kevin Schade offer after Tottenham news

Brentford are prepared to sell Tottenham Hotspur target Kevin Schade for the right price this summer, sources have told Football Insider.

The winger is attracting interest from the likes of Spurs, Bayern Munich and Inter Milan at the moment, while the Bees have already placed a price tag of £60million on him.

Keith Andrews’ side are ready to accept offers for the 24-year-old if they meet their lofty valuation, and sources say that is likely to make it “difficult” for Spurs to strike a deal due to their ongoing fight against relegation.

Tottenham’s transfer plans have seen them identify Schade as a player who could come in and have a big impact for them next term, but they are not well-placed to secure his signature at the moment.

Brentford have already come to terms with losing Kevin Schade

Brentford’s rise into the top half of the Premier League in recent years has been built around their model of buying players on the cheap and selling them on for significant profit.

They have already come to terms with the fact that this could be the summer when they lose Schade, and they are still happy to remain tight to their model and not try to fight against the interest too much.

Andrews and Co. are willing to sanction a sale provided that it is done so on their terms, given that the German still has two years left on his contract at the Gtech Community Stadium in the summer.

Tottenham have been linked with him on several occasions in recent months, but their perilous position is doing them no favours when it comes to the race for his signature.

The Lilywhites are almost certain to miss out on European football for next term, and that will have a significant impact on both their pulling power and their spending capabilities.

Instead, a move abroad looks more likely for Schade at the moment, with both Bayern and Inter better placed to do a deal.

Schade situation to become familiar for Tottenham amid £200m revenue hit

Former Manchester City financial advisor Stefan Borson recently told Football Insider that Tottenham stand to lose up to £200m if they are relegated from the Premier League.

Several of the Lilywhites’ major sponsors are already contemplating stepping away from the club, and a massive hole could be left in their revenue as a result.

That would, in turn, have a major impact on their transfer plans, as the situation with Schade would potentially be replicated across several of their biggest targets, as they would lack the financial capability to compete for top talent.

Brentford’s stance looks set to provide clubs with a big chance to prise the star away from them this summer, but it is quickly becoming clear that it is unlikely to be Spurs who benefit from that.
