Tottenham fans will not believe latest staggering Luka Vuskovic stats, he could’ve single-handedly kept them up
Tottenham Hotspur loanee Luka Vuskovic stunned Wolfsburg with a staggering display for Hamburg on Saturday.
The defender netted from the penalty spot as his team won 2-1 at the Volkswagen Arena to climb up the table to 10th.
Tottenham reached an agreement to sign the 19-year-old from Hajduk Split in 2023, in a deal that saw him spend two years on loan before returning to North London last summer.
Vuskovic impressed in pre-season and looked ready for first-team action, but it was ultimately decided that his development would be best served on a season-long loan to Hamburg.
Considering how well he has done in Germany and Tottenham’s form this season, however, decision-makers may wish that they had come to a different conclusion.

In what would serve as a massive blow for Tottenham, Barcelona have begun talks with Vuskovic as they look to convince the youngster that his future lies away from North London.
The Lilywhites hold the power, with the 19-year-old under contract until at least 2030, but they will be well aware just how highly rated across Europe he is.
And should the Croatia international return to find a team in the Championship, he may well start to get itchy feet.

Vuskovic was outstanding again for Hamburg on Saturday, producing a stat line that is simply not normal for most players, especially a young defender at that.
Two penalties decided the game for the Bundesliga side, and the centre-back won both of them. The first, he decided to take himself and can count himself fortunate that his tame effort broke through the gloves of Kamil Grabara.
It was Vuskovic’s defensive stats that were so staggering, however. The Croatian ended the game with an astonishing 17 clearances, along with three interceptions, four recoveries, one tackle and one block.
He was faced with 12 duels throughout the 90 minutes, and won every single one of them, also drawing two free-kicks.
But perhaps the most unbelievable thing about Vuskovic’s display on Saturday is that such a performance is not something out of the ordinary for him.
What Nicolai Remberg said about Vuskovic
Tottenham will hope to reward Vuskovic for his development on loan by supplying him with consistent Premier League football next season.
While there remains uncertainty about whether the Lilywhites will indeed be in the top-flight, there appears to be little doubt over whether the defender is ready.
“Luka is unbelievable,” Hamburg midfielder Nicolai Remberg said after Saturday’s victory.
“I always want to say he’s a world star, but he’s still so young. I’m just so grateful that he’s with us this year.“
