Tottenham Next manager: Roberto De Zerbi odds slashed after key update

Roberto De Zerbi has now emerged as the second favourite to secure the Tottenham Hotspur job for next season.

The former Marseille boss left his position earlier this year after failing to reach the Champions League knockouts before he was humbled against PSG.

As a result, the 46-year-old has been linked to plenty of Premier League jobs in recent months after he oversaw a successful period at Brighton and Hove Albion.

Now, Oddschecker on 7 March have confirmed that his odds have been slashed down to 10/3, as Tottenham’s next manager search continues.

Could Roberto De Zerbi be a success at Tottenham?

De Zerbi’s work at Brighton has perhaps gone under the radar in recent years.

The Italian guided the Seagulls to heights they had never reached before between 2022 and 2024.

This saw them qualify for Europe for the first time via the Europa League as well as reach an FA Cup semi-final.

Brighton was also fighting for Champions League football in this period under his leadership, and finished sixth in the 2022-23 campaign.

This success was despite the club losing plenty of big-name players during his reign, including the likes of Alexis Mac Allister and Moises Caicedo.

Therefore, based on these credentials, there is every chance that De Zerbi could succeed at Tottenham, where many others before him have failed.

Who else is linked with the Tottenham job?

With Football Insider revealing that Tottenham are considering De Zerbi to be one of the leading candidates for the role, it is no surprise that he is the second-favourite for the job.

The only manager in front of him in the bookies odds is Mauricio Pochettino at 11/10.

Robbie Keane also remains in the running at 8/1, with the manager heavily impressing at Hungarian side Ferencvaros.

Potential outsiders are Marco Rose and Scott Parker, who are 10/1 and 12/1, respectively.

Rose has been out of work since being dismissed at RB Leipzig in 2025.

In comparison, Parker remains at Burnley, but looks all but certain to take the club down this season as they reside 19th in the table.

However, it remains to be seen who Tottenham appoint as their long-term replacement for Thomas Frank, with the club still at serious risk of relegation to the Championship.
