Exclusive: Igor Jesus transfer update as Nottingham Forest ‘fire sale’ on the cards
Nottingham Forest striker Igor Jesus is attracting interest from big clubs across Europe ahead of the summer window, sources have told Football Insider.
The Premier League’s elite are currently being put off by the 25-year-old’s struggles in league action so far this term, but his exploits in the Europa League have got several sides from across the continent plotting a move for him.
Nottingham Forest are confident of keeping the frontman for another season if they survive relegation, but sources say that he will form part of a “fire sale” at the City Ground if they fall into the Championship.
Jesus is currently the top scorer in the entire Europa League with seven goals to his name from just eight games this term, and is one of many possible sales for Nottingham Forest at the end of the season.

Former Everton and Aston Villa chief executive Keith Wyness told Football Insider earlier this week that Edu Gaspar could leave Forest before the end of the season, after his latest issues with owner Evangelos Marinakis.
The Reds’ Global Head of Football has been a controversial figure since he was appointed at the City Ground in the summer of 2025, with the former Arsenal chief playing a key role in several decisions that the fanbase strongly disagreed with.
Wyness revealed that there is a feeling that the Brazilian has been “marginalised” by some of the recent managerial decisions at the East Midlands outfit, who are now onto their fourth permanent boss of the campaign.
He added that there is a “personality conflict” between Edu and Marinakis, while noting that there is a strong chance that he could leave the club before the end of the season.

The Scottish businessman pointed out that Forest would then have time to begin planning for their replacement, to ensure they would be able to make an appointment right at the start of the summer.
Fenerbahce to be forced behind closed doors after City Ground scenes
Ex-PGMOL chief and former FIFA referee Keith Hackett told Football Insider last week that Fenerbahce fans should face a three-match ban after they damaged parts of the City Ground during the recent clash.
Photos shared to social media after the game showed large sections of seats ripped out in the Bridgford End of the ground, and the Turkish side could be set to face a punishment for their fans’ behaviour as a result.
Hackett suggested that the Fenerbahce supporters should face a ban for their next three away games in UEFA competitions, while he also added that the European governing body should impose a fine on the club as a further sanction.
Pyrotechnics were also used by the travelling fans on several occasions inside the stadium, which could also result in an additional punishment on the side.
