Nottingham Forest ready for relegation showdown vs Burnley
Vitor Pereira has overseen a massive improvement at the City Ground since becoming Nottingham Forest’s fourth manager of the season. After a rocky start, which saw him lose to Liverpool and Brighton in the Premier League, he’s bagged draws against Manchester City and Fulham, masterminded a 3-0 win away at Tottenham and led Forest to the Europa League semi-finals by beating Fenerbahce, Midtjylland and Porto.
It’s now down to Pereira and his squad to keep up their positive momentum when they face Burnley in what will be a pivotal game at the bottom end of the Premier League. A win against the stricken Clarets, who are currently 12 points from safety, could move Nottingham Forest up to 15th and six points clear of the drop zone and effectively relegate Scott Parker’s side. Forest are unbeaten in four Premier League games and sit 14th in the form table based on the last five games.
