Nottingham Forest fans on Twitter have given a mixed reaction after it was reported that former man and current Rangers defender Clint Hill would be available this summer.

The Daily Mail reported on Tuesday afternoon that the 38-year-old centre-back would be released at the end of his contract this summer after talks with manager Pedro Caixinha.

Now, of course Hill has previously played for Forest on a 93-day emergency loan deal, while current manager Mark Warburton was the man responsible for taking him to Glasgow last summer.

This has then led to speculation that veteran Hill could be in line for a return to the Midlands giants this summer.

Now, some Nottingham Forest fans on social media have shared that they would be pleased to see Hill return, with one fan stating he has the attributes that the team are currently lacking.

However, others have turned their noses up, particularly for his age with one supporter claiming that the defender’s 38 years were now against him.

Here are a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Huyton-born Hill had built a solid career in the English football leagues before leaving his home country for the first time last summer.

He has since shown that he still has what it takes to play at a high level with 22 Premiership games under his belt this season.

However, it is now a question of how much longer the veteran player can go for.
