Chelsea fans stunned by what Joao Felix did as new footage emerges

Chelsea fans were wowed by Joao Felix’s contribution to their impressive Carabao Cup victory against Barrow at Stamford Bridge.

Enzo Maresca named a rotated side against their League Two opponents, but cruised to a 5-0 win thanks to a hattrick from Christopher Nkunku, a goal from Pedro Neto and a Paul Farman own-goal.

Footage of Nkunku’s first goal quickly did the rounds on social media, with the home supporters stunned by the link-up play between their attackers.

In particular, though, fans were keen to heap praise on Felix, 24, for his assist – a scooped ball over the top of the defence for the forward to volley home.

Since returning to Stamford Bridge from Atletico Madrid in the summer in a deal worth £46million, the Portugal forward has impressed fans with his displays.

In five appearances, four of which came from the bench, the striker has scored one goal and provided one assist, and the form he has shown has helped Chelsea in their fast start to the season.

Joao Felix leaves Chelsea fans stunned with display v Barrow

Felix had previously spent six months on loan with the Blues, in a mixed spell which led to questions about the decision to sanction his return to the club.

However, he has already shown supporters at Stamford Bridge what he is capable of, and his latest display has left them stunned.

Taking to social media in response to his performance against Barrow, fans have labelled Felix “amazing” and “fantastic”.
