
Exclusive: AFC Wimbledon’s James Tilley undergoing Wycombe Wanderers medical
AFC Wimbledon forward James Tilley is having a medical at Wycombe Wanderers on Friday (13 June) after agreeing terms, sources have told Football Insider.
The 27-year-old is signing a two-year deal with the option of a 12-month extension.
Tilley is heading to Wycombe on a free transfer after winning the League Two play-off final with Wimbledon in the 2024-25 campaign.
He featured regularly for the Dons, who achieved promotion to League One via their famous win against Walsall at Wembley.
Wycombe wrap up free transfer swoop
The winger made 52 appearances across all competitions last term, notching five goals and eight assists.
Tilley has been with Wimbledon since joining the club from Crawley Town in 2021.

He has also had spells with Dorking, Grimsby, Yeovil and Cork City after coming through the ranks at Brighton.
The 27-year-old is making the step up to Wycombe – who went close in their quest for promotion from League One in the 2024-25 campaign.
They finished fifth in the table but were beaten by eventual Wembley winners Charlton in the play-off semi-final.

Wycombe lead race to sign in-demand Lincoln star
Meanwhile, Football Insider has revealed (8 June) that Wycombe are leading the race for Lincoln City defender Paudie O’Connor on a free transfer.
O’Connor has attracted interest from a host of League One clubs, while several Championship clubs are also monitoring the defender’s situation.
The 27-year-old is set to become a free agent at the end of the month when his Lincoln contract expires.
