Exclusive: Crystal Palace, Birmingham City, Hull City and Wrexham set sights on Adam Brennan

Crystal Palace, Birmingham City, Hull City and Wrexham are monitoring UCD sensation Adam Brennan, sources have told Football Insider.

The Premier League club and Championship trio are scouting the 18-year-old as they weigh up moves ahead of January.

Brennan has impressed for League of Ireland First Division side UCD this season with nine goals and four assists in 28 appearances

Football Insider revealed in November that Hull had invited Brennan on trial due to their good relationship with UCD, but they have now been joined in the race for his services by numerous clubs.

Brennan wanted by host of English clubs after stellar UCD form

Brennan scored a brace on the final day of the 2025 First Division campaign to help UCD to a fourth-placed finish and place in the play-offs.

They failed to secure promotion after being beaten over two legs by Bray Wanderers, with the 18-year-old now likely to depart as a result.

He worked his way through the club’s academy pathway to become their first ever player to go all the way through their youth system to the first-team when he made his UCD debut in April 2024.

Brennan’s talents have also been recognised on the international stage, with three caps and one goal for the Republic of Ireland‘s under-19 team so far.

Crystal Palace want Watford and Ireland starlet Rocco Vata with January move unlikely

Palace have made a habit of signing young players with high potential in recent years, and that strategy is not set to end despite their increased success under Oliver Glasner.

With Brennan also on their radar, Palace have registered their interest in his compatriot Rocco Vata, who has been impressive for Watford in the Championship this season.

The 20-year-old is currently out injured, however, and Football Insider have revealed that Vata is unlikely to leave Watford next month as he focuses on his recovery.

Palace want to sign the best Championship talent after the success of Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise, and Vata could find himself at Selhurst Park alongside fellow Irishman Brennan soon enough if they both continue to shine for their respective clubs.
