Exclusive: Man United turn their attention to signing striker who nearly joined Arsenal
Manchester United could make a sensational move for Benjamin Sesko this summer, sources have told Football Insider.
The Red Devils have set their sights on the RB Leipzig forward after missing out on both Viktor Gyokeres and Victor Osimhen.
Sources say that United are considering Sesko as a very real option to lead the line at Old Trafford next season.
The centre-forward position is now a priority for Ruben Amorim in the transfer market, after the signings of Matheus Cunha from Wolves and Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford were confirmed.

Sesko price tag may jeopardise Man United move
Despite Man United having a strong interest in Sesko, the 22-year-old’s high price tag could put any potential move in doubt.
The Slovenia international reportedly has a release clause in his contract, but it would take an offer of over £70million to trigger it.
Arsenal have also been keeping close tabs on Sesko for over a year and have come close to signing him on a number of occasions.
After spending over £130m to bring in both Cunha and Mbeumo, United will now be forced to sell some of their unwanted players before they can afford another big outlay.
Marcus Rashford is set to join Barcelona on loan, which will lighten the burden of his wages, but the Red Devils still need to offload the likes of Antony and Jadon Sancho to give them more financial freedom in the transfer market.

‘Man United make Mainoo decision’
Meanwhile, Kobbie Mainoo could reportedly remain at Man United beyond the summer despite initial expectations that he would leave.
That is according to their former chief scout Mick Brown, who claims that the 20-year-old has a chance to establish himself in Amorim’s side.
As things stand, no clubs have shown a willingness to match United’s lofty asking price and he is growing more likely to stay into next season.
This comes after Brown told Football Insider revealed in March that Man United will accept £70million bids for Mainoo as they plan to raise significant funds from his sale.
