League One postponements latest as Met Office issue new weather warning for Saturday
Several League One games are in doubt amid a new weather warning that has been issued ahead of Saturday.
Blackburn Rovers’ clash with Oxford United on Tuesday was at risk of postponement, with a recent spat of bad weather putting games across the country at risk.
Rovers are at particular risk of the rain, with several games at Ewood Park already having been called off due to a waterlogged pitch.
The likes of Cardiff City, Huddersfield Town, Barnsley and Stockport County are all set to host fixtures on Saturday, and will hope to avoid a similar fate.
Cardiff are hoping to bolster their squad in January, as they look to build on a strong case for promotion back to the Championship.

Bolton vs Exeter in doubt as warning issued
Bolton signed several players in the summer transfer window in the hopes of finally making their long-awaited return to the Championship.
Among the standouts has undoubtedly been Amario Cozier-Duberry, who arrived on loan from Brighton.
An Arsenal academy product, the 20-year-old has thrived in League One, scoring six goals and providing six assists in his 18 appearances in the third tier so far.
His form, and the efforts of the likes of Mason Burstow, have left Bolton in a strong fifth position, just three points behind second-placed Bradford City.

Saturday’s weather warning threatens to stop the Wanderers in their tracks, however. The Met Office have released a yellow caution for rain, with Bolton falling inside the warning zone.
Steven Schumacher’s side are set to host Exeter City at the Toughsheet Community Stadium, and will hope to avoid the worst of the weather.
Two other League One games at risk
While most of Saturday’s actions will thankfully avoid the area of concern that the Met Office have released, there are two other venues that will need to keep a close eye on developments.
Huddersfield Town‘s clash with Wigan Athletic at the Accu Stadium will fall just on the edge of the zone, and could be affected.
And the same can be said for Stockport County’s meeting with Stevenage, which will border the yellow area.
Match officials will proceed with caution, with the EFL likely keen to avoid any further postponements in the coming weeks.
