‘West Ham on alert as Carl Rushworth now set to leave Brighton’
West Ham could make a move for Brighton goalkeeper Carl Rushworth, with the Seagulls’ man taking a clear stance over his future.
Rushworth made three appearances on loan at Hull City earlier in the season, before getting injured and returning to the south coast.
The 23-year-old has spent much of the second half of the campaign on the Brighton bench and is yet to make his Premier League debut.
Last week (9 May), West Ham confirmed that Lukasz Fabianski will leave the club, after a seven-year spell at the London Stadium.
It means that Graham Potter will be in the market for a goalkeeper to challenge current number one Alphonse Areola.

Rushworth rejects new deal
Rushworth has been at Brighton since the age of 19, when he joined the south coast side from Halifax Town.
The young keeper has had a number of loan spells in the Football League, including Walsall, Lincoln, and Swansea.
Club | Season |
Walsall (loan) | 2021/22 |
Lincoln (loan) | 2022/23 |
Swansea (loan) | 2023/24 |
Hull City (loan) | 2024/25 |
However, talkSPORT (16 May) have reported that Rushworth has rejected a new deal at the Amex, as he wants to move to a club where he can be the number one keeper.
TalkSPORT added that Brighton value the Englishman at around £3million, and West Ham are one of a number of clubs who admire the shot-stopper.

West Ham get rid of old guard
Football Insider Verdict
It is set to be a summer of change at the London Stadium, as the Hammers move on some of their old guard.
West Ham confirmed that Aaron Cresswell will leave the club after spending 11 seasons in East London, with his contract expiring at the end of the season.
Both Vladimir Coufal and Danny Ings will also be departing, which will make room for Potter to bring in some young talent.
Sitting 15th in the Premier League, West Ham have struggled this season, and a transfer window full of change could help improve the mood around the club.
The Hammers have not been in any danger of relegation, but still need to revitalise their squad to help move themselves towards the top half of the table.
